Brainspotting is a therapeutic modality in which the therapist guides your eyes’ positioning or gaze to unlock experiences or emotional events that have not yet been healed or processed. The goal of this model is to access deeper emotional parts of the brain through the way that the eye is positioned, which helps the body and brain's natural self-healing that promotes symptom reduction. Brainspotting can be used for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, and many other mental health issues. A pointer is used to help the client focus and become aware of unhealed parts of oneself. Bilateral music can also be incorporated to enhance the emotional processing.
