Cognitive Behavior Therapy is a model that helps people evaluate their thoughts. According to CBT, your thoughts affect your mood (emotions) and your behaviors. The general goal is to help you modify unhelpful ways of thinking. The CBT model establishes that how you think and feel lead to psychological problems. In therapy, I will support you in understanding the problems you are presenting, identifying your belief system, and how it impacts your behaviors. CBT has a variety of techniques that facilitate the process of examining and changing your thoughts and behaviors. Therefore, in therapy, you will learn and practice how to use these techniques, which will help you with behavioral change, and as a result, emotional relief.
